As far back as I can remember, I've loved elephants.  Their enormity and grace, incredible emotional intelligence and ability to connect with each other, as well as humans, is truly incredible.  The devastating fact that their populations are dwindling around the world at such an alarming rate is terrifying and must be seen as a call to action for all of us to do what we can to help save them.  This global problem is complex as we must fight against poaching in Africa,  advocate for proper treatment for captive elephants in Asia, and help mitigate the human-elephant conflicts in both areas.  As a filmmaker, I've produced a collection of elephant advocacy films to help education and promote some of the wonderful organizations that are on the front lines of this fight.
